"Toñita" Maria Antonia Cay
Toñita, Owner of the Caribbean Social Club. One of the last Puerto Rican social clubs located in Williamsburg, Brooklyn NYC. The location has stood for more than 50 years, sustaining the Puerto Rican diaspora. Many other Latin American diasporas also enjoy the place, because it makes them feel close to home. The place was already well known by the locals for decades, but gained International attention thanks to Bad Bunny visiting the place back in 2022 for his album "Un Verano Sin Ti" release. Later in 2025, for his album "DeBí TiRAR MáS FOToS" (DTMF), Bad Bunny showed up at the club as part of the release. He mentioned her in the song NUEVAYoL, skyrocketing her popularity, and even was invited for a cameo in Bad Bunny's Super Bowl LX 2026 Half Time Show. -
